White Tulip Original Watercolor Painting

This is an original watercolor painting of an elegant white tulip.

This original painting is sold but the white tulip image is still available as a print.

White flowers are so beautiful. They are simple, elegant and dramatic. I increased the drama of this particular painting by creating a dark, sumptuous background that really makes the tulip stand out. (Imagine a pearl necklace against a black dress.)

It is a small painting with a lot of impact. 

I painted this original with professional-grade Winsor and Newton paints on beautiful handmade Saint-Armand paper (made in a small mill in Montreal). With its deckle edges, this painting would look lovely floating in a frame.

Because of the detailed, delicate way I paint, I can spend hours and sometimes days on one small painting.

I will mail your painting in a sturdy, rigid kraft envelope. The painting will be enclosed in a cello sleeve and protected with extra cardboard. I will initial it on the front and sign and date your painting on its back.

All monitors are different so the colors appearing on your screen may vary slightly from those of the painting. I've included several photos in different light to give you a good sense of the colors. Most often, the colors in your painting will be more delicate than what is probably showing on your screen.
