Snow Bunting Holiday Cards
This lovely set of five holiday cards features a watercolor painting I did of a snow bunting. 'Wishing you peace and joy' is the greeting on the front of the card, a simple and warm message for the holiday season that I hand lettered in pen and ink.
This sweet bird visited our backyard one winter and lingered long enough for me to take several photos of it which I then used as my reference. Snow buntings (Plectrophenax nivalis), also sometimes called snowflakes, are lovely birds found in northern regions. This fellow was so fluffy, he looked like a cross between a large sparrow and a bunny!
I have printed the image on luxurious watercolor paper. The paper is lovely and thick and has a beautiful texture. My card is greeted on the front and is blank inside, so it is ready for your personal message.
A lovely holiday card for nature lovers.
