Maple Leaves and Keys - Watercolor Painting
This original watercolour is a study of maple leaves and keys (samaras).
I am obsessed with leaves. I admire, collect and paint them. Aside from the beautiful autumn colours, this grouping was interesting to paint because of the contrast of the sharp points of the leaves and the rounded edges of the keys.
This original watercolor is painted with professional-grade Winsor and Newton paints on beautiful Saunders Waterford cream-coloured paper. The paper is embossed with 'Waterford Series' in the right bottom corner.

Because of the detailed, delicate way I paint, I spend hours and often days on one small painting.
I will sign the painting on the front and title and date your painting on its back. This painting was completed in 2014.
I will mail your painting in a sturdy, rigid kraft envelope.
Most often, the colours in your painting will be more delicate than what is likely showing on your monitor.
