This is a delicate original watercolor painting of a beautiful red autumn leaf.
I come back from most walks with something in my hands, particularly in autumn. I did this painting of a gorgeous red leaf that I picked up and then left on my studio table. It became papery and crinkly, the red-orange colors a little more muted than before. It was a little work of art in itself. I loved painting it.
This original watercolor is painted with professional-grade Winsor and Newton paints on beautiful, luxuriously thick Fabriano 300 lb. hot-pressed paper.
