This is an original watercolor painting of Lake Muskoka which is situated in a very beautiful cottage region in Ontario, Canada. The characteristic gentle landscape of the surroundings was made more dramatic with the approach of summer afternoon storm clouds.
I began this painting 'en plein air' while visiting Muskoka and finished the details in my studio.
This original watercolor is painted with professional-grade Winsor and Newton paints on gorgeous handmade Saint-Armand paper. This paper is made in an artisan mill in Montreal.

Because of the deckle edges of the paper, this painting would look particularly nice floated in a frame.
My signature and the date will be added in pencil at the bottom right of the image.
I have taken photos of the painting in different light so that you can see the details of the painting in various lighting conditions. Due to monitor differences, the colors of the actual painting may differ slightly from what you are seeing on your screen.
Because of the detailed, delicate way I paint, I spend hours and sometimes days on one small painting.
