Forget Me Nots Original Watercolor Painting

This is a delicate original watercolor painting of a forget-me-not flower.

This original painting is sold but the Forget-me-nots image is still available as a print.  

I love the simplicity and quiet elegance of forget-me-nots (myosotis). In French, they are referred to as 'herbe d'amour' (herb of love). Forget-me-nots speak to me of love, friendship and remembrance. 

What a pleasure it was to paint this beautiful spring flower. I held the flower in one hand while I painted it with the other. I love painting nature studies like this. And then (lucky me) it lasted for a week in a vase in my studio. 

This original watercolor is painted with professional-grade Winsor and Newton paints on beautiful BFK Rives 400 gsm paper.

Because of the detailed, delicate way I paint, I can spend hours and often days on one small painting.

I will mail your painting in a sturdy, rigid kraft envelope.

Most often, the colours in your painting will be more delicate than what is likely showing on your monitor.
