This set of five note cards features a watercolor painting I did of a snow bunting. This sweet bird visited our backyard one winter and lingered long enough for me to take several photos of it which I then used as my painting reference.
Snow buntings, also sometimes called snowflakes, are lovely birds found in northern regions. Their scientific name is Plectrophenax nivalis. This fellow was so fluffy, he looked like a cross between a large sparrow and a bunny!
I print my snow bunting cards on luxurious, Italian watercolor paper. The paper is lovely and has a beautiful texture.
